Advanced Knitting
This class is for children who have completed and feel comfortable with all the Beginner Knitting projects and are now ready to learn to increase and decrease mid-row for more complex forming. The first project will be a horse. Then we will move on to learn how to purl. The children learn to make a gnome in stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl one row). This can be quite a challenge for some because purling is the opposite of knitting and requires a new way of thinking and new hand rhythm. After the gnome there are many purl projects the children can choose from, such as a 4-legged bunny or cat or squirrel.
